How to file an application for a certified copy in court
You have to apply to court for getting certified copies in prescribed format which was given above. a certified copy requires you to pay a fee of 5 rupees per page. However, in an emergency, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 10 per page. The fee is paid in advance, if not, the difference is paid when the copy is delivered.
Delivery of certified copy takes time. If the applicant applied for urgency then it should be issued the same day or 48 hours from filling of application
and for regular application for certified copy it takes 5 to 7 days. Order 21 Rule 11 and Order 41 Rule 1 of The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 deals with the concept of certified copy.
