Eligibility for Gram Panchayat Election

* Eligibility of Gram Panchayat Candidate *: –
1) He/she Must be a citizen of India.
2) He should not be a contractor of Gram Panchayat
3) The name of the candidate should be in the Gram Panchayat Electoral Roll.
4) Candidate should be 21 years of age.
5) Government employees cannot contest elections.
6) No more than two children
Documents Required for Gram Panchayat Election in Maharashtra
1) Affidavit before the Returning Officer.
2) Declaration in front of the Returning Officer.
3) Identity card – Aadhar card, PAN card, and voting card etc.
4) Certificate of non-arrears from Gram Panchayat
1) Caste certificate if there is reservation for reserved seat.
2) Xerox of caste validity certificate or acknowledgement if reserved.
3) Resident certificate.
4) If the candidate is filing nomination papers from other wards, add voter list.
5) Age certificate.
6) Proof of having toilet at home.
7) Date of birth of children.
8) Bank Passbook Nationalized Bank.
